Fitter Machinist

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Fitter Machinist to join our busy engineering workshop. The ideal person will set up and operate manual machines, reads blueprints and perform mechanical repairs and assembly.

• Operate manual lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints
• Measure finished metal parts using micrometers and calipers
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workplace

• Journeyman Class 1 / National Certificate in Machining or Fitting and Turning
• At least 3 to 5 years if hands on experience in an engineering workshop
• Strong knowledge of metal properties and cutting tools
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
