Description: The University seeks to engage Kitchen Porter in the Student Affairs Division

Duties and Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, trays, and kitchen utensils in accordance with hygiene standards
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, work surfaces, floors, storage areas, and waste disposal areas
- Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and other ingredients
- Receive, inspect, and store food deliveries and kitchen supplies, ensuring stock is handled safely and correctly
- Remove rubbish and recycling materials, ensuring waste is disposed of in line with health and safety procedures
- Keep kitchens, storerooms, and service areas clean, tidy, and well organized at all times
- Replenish cleaning materials, kitchen supplies, and equipment as required
- Support cooks and chefs with routine kitchen duties during busy service periods
- Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety policies and procedures
- Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, or potential health and safety hazards promptly to supervisors
- Assist with the setup, service, and clean-up of catering for events, conferences, and other functions
- Work collaboratively as part of the catering team to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality food service

Qualifications and Experience
- Five (5) Ordinary Level Passes including English Language
- Six months’ relevant experience will be a distinct advantage
