National Consultant — Development of the National Male Engagement Strategy

UNICEF is recruiting a National Consultant to lead the development of Zimbabwe's National Male Engagement Strategy. Duration: 2 months. Remote with some in-country work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive review of existing policies, programmes and best practices on male engagement.
• Conduct consultations with relevant stakeholders.
• Assess opportunities and challenges for male engagement in Zimbabwe.
• Develop an evidence-based National Male Engagement Strategy.
• Define vision, goals and principles for male engagement in Zimbabwe.
• Develop implementation approaches, monitoring indicators and partnership mechanisms.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related field.
• At least 10 years' experience in research, programming, M&E or strategy development in gender programming.
• Demonstrated experience in gender equality, GBV programming or social norm change.
• Proven experience in strategy development and policy formulation.
• Strong understanding of male engagement and positive masculinity frameworks.
• Experience working with government and multi-stakeholder processes.
• Excellent English language skills. Fluency in Shona and/or Ndebele is desirable.
