REMOTE SENSING ENGINEER

Sinohydro Corporation Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Remote Sensing Engineer / Geospatial Engineer in Zimbabwe.

• Process and analyse satellite and remote-sensing data
• Produce maps and geospatial information for engineering and project applications
• Conduct spatial analysis and interpretation of remotely sensed imagery
• Support site assessment, terrain analysis and project planning
• Develop and maintain GIS databases
• Prepare technical maps, reports and geospatial outputs
• Support engineering teams with spatial and remote-sensing information
• Assist with monitoring changes in terrain, land use and project areas

• Bachelor's Degree in Remote Sensing, Geomatics, GIS, Geospatial Engineering, Remote Sensing Technology or a related field
• Experience with GIS and remote-sensing software
• Knowledge of satellite imagery and spatial-data analysis
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Experience in infrastructure, mining, surveying or engineering projects will be an advantage
